BeWell Juxtaposition Campaign

BeWell.com is a new health website with the goal of creating a close-knit community by facilitating the exchange of personal user experiences. Trusted health experts provide original content and moderate discussions to ensure accurate information is being shared. The Juxtaposition campaign highlights these two pillars of the site and communicates that the personal experiences of BeWell users and the medical information provided by the site's resident health professionals are equally important.

Feeding the Animals

A short documentary exploring the social and anthropological undercurrents at the live shows of mash-up artist Girl Talk. Completed as a final project for the course Religion in Culture. The class was instructed by Dr. Michael Wesch, The Carnegie Foundation's 2008 Professor of the Year, and creator of the hugely popular Web 2.0 ... The Machine is Us/ing Us. Be advised, Feeding the Animals contains strong language.
KSU Young Democrats Website

In 2007, the Kansas State University Young Democrats needed a basic online presence to post information for prospective members as well as news, events, and other information. In 2008, a redesign was created specifically for the election season. Due to limitations imposed by use of the school server, the site could not be built on a server-side content management system, and instead had to be created using HTML/CSS.
Things I Don't Remember

A narrative music video created of old public service announcement footage found in the Prelinger Archives. The song is Things I Don't Remember by Ugly Casanova. Viewed over 60,000 times on YouTube and praised by Ugly Casanova fans as WEIRD!!!, perfect, [like an] acid trip, and better than the [official video].
Conference Proceedings

Discs containing conference proceedings, including audio lectures and lecture transcripts. The user interfaces were created in HTML/CSS, as per specifications. Cross-browser compatible. The basic layouts from the existing 2007 discs were updated with fresh new looks for 2008 and provided more efficient organization.

A short spot created to advertise a job opening for the position of Electronic Media Coordinator in Kansas State University's Office of Mediated Education.

Kappa Sigma Fraternity Website

The website for the Gamma-Chi Chapter of Kappa Sigma Fraternity needed a complete overhaul in the summer of 2007. The site was re-designed from scratch with a new look and layout to provide better organization and easier access to information. School server limitations again required the site be created with HTML/CSS.
Young Democrats Shirts

The Kansas State University Young Democrats wanted to create a novelty t-shirt for their organization. The concept was suggested by a YD group member, then created in Adobe Illustrator and pressed at a screenprinting shop.

CD album art designs created either for friends or personal use.
Life Magazine Redesign

A fictional re-design of Life Magazine performed as an experiment in print design. The updated look retains several of Life's trademark design elements including the red & white color scheme, black & white cover photo, bottom red stripe, minimal leader text, and LIFE in prominent bold text. The redesign modernizes the magazine's classic look with an inverted color scheme for the logo, offset typography, a thin white border, and a higher contrast cover photo.
